This magnificent listed residential building from 1895 is situated on Haunstetter Strasse, close to the centre of Augsburg. Tram and bus stops are located in the immediate vicinity, just a few minutes’ walk away. About 700 metres away to the south is the Augsburg municipal forest with its zoo and botanical garden. Immediately to the west is the Bismarckviertel with its Wilhelminian houses: a trendy district with plenty of opportunities to shop, eat and drink.

The eight existing apartments are being thoroughly renovated to a very high standard, with no expense spared. The historical doors throughout the building have been preserved and are being renovated, as are the original terrazzo floorings in the stairwell and bathrooms. Parquet flooring will be laid throughout the entire living space. The apartments boast French balconies with full-length doors, and the east side of the building is graced with new balconies. Moreover, a ground-floor apartment enjoys a direct connection to an adjacent office space in the annex.

One further apartment is under construction on the penthouse floor. This loft-style apartment is being fitted out with ample new windows; moreover, the historical wooden columns, which are deliberately being left visible, and the new fireplace all serve to lend it a cosy and intimate charm. Terrazzo-look screed will be laid as flooring throughout the entire apartment. This apartment is connected to a generous roof terrace which is sheltered on three sides.

Courtesy of the new lift with its glass walls to the rear of the building, you can access every floor while almost completely avoiding steps. The area around the building will benefit from lovingly designed lawns, greenery and places to sit. Car ports at the rear of the building will provide parking for the residents. There will also be facilities for the storage of bicycles and buggies directly next to the house.
